I am an atheist who was invited by someone here.  I am a regular at a Christian Forum - not to debate but to hang with some dear friends who I've known for years. 

I don't think the person who invited me KNEW I was the token atheist - but I accept the invitation because I'm always happy to discuss elements of faith and non-faith.

I only faced up to the fact and admitted it a few years ago.  It's been a rough road but I'm okay with it now.
