5 continents are playing their continental Championship in the same month, so I think it's worth having a thread for discussion of these tournaments. We have:

European Championship 6-31 July; Germany are going to win that.
African Women Cup of Nations 2-23 July; Nigeria are going to win that.
CONCACAF Women's Championship 4-18 July; USA are going to win that.
Copa America Femenina 8-30 July; Brazil are going to win that.
OFC Women's Nations Cup 13-30 July; Papua New Guinea are going to win that.

Meat

"Brilliant Meat!" +1 (composer)
"Amen Meat." (Former Believer)
"Like Meat said." (Francis)
"Not brilliant, Meat!" — Villanelle
"Damned right Meat." -Kusa

I meant to put this in ongoing threads. I don't know why I put it here. Still, I suppose it will only ongo for about a month.

I suppose the biggest news so far is that Mexico, the host country, are already out of the CONCACAF Women's Championship, after only 2 matches!

CONCACAF Women's Championship semi-finals:

USA v Costa Rica
Canada v Jamaica

So a Final between the World Champions and the Olympic Champions is likely.

I got all 4 of my predictions right for the African Nations Cup.

And the CONCACAF Women's Championship Final is indeed between the World Champions and the Olympic Champions.

USA retain their title as Champions of North America.

Nigeria lost on penalties against Morocco in the African Nations Cup semi-finals. Morocco play South Africa in the final.

Tie of the round in the European Championship quarter-finals is France v Netherlands.

And the Copa America Femenina has produced an average of 3.94 goals per match, and only 1 match with less than 2 goals so far. Only Brazil certain to reach the semi-finals so far. Chile v Colombia, Ecuador v Paraguay, and Argentina v Venezuela decide the other semi-finalists.

I got 7 out of 8 Oceanian Nations Cup quarter-finalists correct.

Copa America Femenina semi-finals:
Brazil v Paraguay
Argentina v Colombia

Brazil's closest match was a 3-0 win against Uruguay. They've got to be clear favourites to win the Copa America.

Colombia, my 9th favourite women's national team, are in the Final of the Copa America Femenina!

Papua New Guinea, my tip to win the Oceanian Women's nations cup, are in the final. They play Fiji, the host country.

Oh and Brazil, my 3rd favourite women's national team, are playing Colombia in the Copa America Femenina final.

Papua New Guinea are Champions of Oceania. So I got that prediction right.

And Argentina, my 11th favourite women's national team, ended 3rd in the Copa America Femenina.

Solomon Islands, ranked 119 in the World, ended 3rd in the Oceanian Women's Nations Cup. New Zealand didn't even make it to the quarter-finals. What does that say about New Zealand?

There wasn't a single 0-0 draw in the Copa America Femenina. My 3rd favourite team, Brazil, beat my 9th favourite team, Colombia, in the Final, 1-0.
