It is the only one of the two that would require any evidence. You are correct about that particular claim being baseless. I am running on a hunch from a couple comments I saw from a different user name earlier yesterday and it made me think of you...then viola! Here you are. It could just be coincidence.

That isn't so much a claim as it is a prediction. A personal opinion if you will. It is based on past experience with you on the WWGHA forums. The first "claim" shouldn't even be up for debate because it doesn't pertain to you in anyway shape or form. If you wish to claim that my self assessment is baseless, be my guest but I won't engage that argument with you.

Hopefully, you will keep your promise to behave...time will tell. For my part, I will hold my breath and lay low because this is an introduction thread and I apologize for my rude knee jerk reaction.

Augusto, the reference is to events on another forum, a forum that has been primarily devoted to atheist challenge to the value of religion.

Emily, the reference was to a passage from Jesus in sending out disciples to spread his message and the reaction of those devoted to the religious structure of that day.  It remains to be seen how this person approaches what he terms "the word of God."

I know. It's just I've heard some people use that bible quote to claim an actual hatred towards believers. It's not hatred: it's disagreement.

Lol, well +1 to you as your welcoming karma point.  John 3:16 was the first bible verse I ever memorized in Sunday school.  We got "extra credit" if we memorized more verses than one a week, so I used to memorize two each week.  That week, my first week, I memorized both John 3:16 and 3:17.  If we got enough "credits" we could trade them in for something neat (religious themed though).  I saved mine up for a fancy precious moments bible--their top "prize".
