Is Free Bird considered a country song? I know how to play the slide part hehe

Free Bird is a great song. I wouldn't have thought of it as country, but I guess the lyrics are sort of country. I like the the tone of the the night the lights went out. I read somewhere "southern gothic". love it

I guess music isn't bound to journalist's genre boundaries, and I don't think anyone would ever argue if you called sweet home alabama jazz, but you asked for my opinion, and it wouldn't be the internet if I didn't cop a bit of raz for having an opinion
