I debate because it's fun to think critically and examine belief structures. At first, I was a Christian fanatic who dove in head first into religion without a second thought. But then upon logical examination of Christianity and God himself and realizing the irresolvable contradictions, I had to cut the strings and free myself from religious delusion. Later, after stumbling upon website, It piqued my interest again on the "God subject," and I wanted to hear other people's replies and refutations against my own thoughts and conclusions which drove me away from religion.
So far, all attempts have been pretty weak and futile, heh. I've debated on two websites that attempted to refute all 50 proofs of, on brainisignorant, the site administrator stopped replying to me completely (I think I stumped him, lol) and on the other, random visitors come and go too quickly to really dwell on a topic to examine it down to the last details.

Luthekar, it's good to have you.  And, yes, sites like GII are great for rekindling interest in religion.  I find it fascinating.

+1 for signing up.
