Now, I am a vague attempt at a rational human being. I do my best but more often than not I am wrong. The following set of words is one I was instructed to post upon arrival, I hope you enjoy it.

I've never had Tim Horton's coffee before. Does anybody know what that is

And, as a pedant, I immediately noted that the second one is not TECHNICALLY a coherent sentence as it has no full stop, exclamation mark or (the only one that works) a question mark- SOME PEOPLE eh?

I like debate, really any kind of intellectual discourse is pretty bitchin', however I despise dead horses and beating them only causes them to fall apart more quickly, so I don't do it. If a horse like "free will" or "objective morality" is long since dead I am reluctant to participate in any discourse over the topic. Otherwise... anything goes!

Welcome to the board. +1 for joining. (We have this silly thing called karma which allows people to say whether or not they like your posts.)

Tim Horton's is a donut chain in Canada. ^-^. Sells like hot cakes here. (I'm from Canada we have lots of Aussies, some brits, Americans and even a few other Canadians around here. I'm the guy invited you actually. ;) )

I glanced over at your first few posts. I love them.  Great fun you will bring to board.

How do you perceive the color red? Is that the same as other people's perception? Can a computer program experience this too. Neuroscience advances and we link brainwaves to perception. Qualia? Y/N?

Hi DrObswolovitch, welcome to our forum, thanks for signing up.  Smart is good but sometimes overdone when things get a bit emotional around here (eg I am no fan of intellectual snobbery!).

Your member name has a nice ring to it :)

"eg I am no fan of intellectual snobbery!"

you and me both! i am constantly enraged by peoples assumptions that they are better than other people because they are smarter than them. nor am i a fan of those who know they are intelligent and as such assume that the conclusions they reach are somehow... infallible.... tosspots. :D
