Probably the best music video ever made...

Amongst my favourite anime series opening theme tunes:

"If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed."

Thanks...Its one of my favorites from my childhood...along with "sailing" from Christopher Cross...which is probably my favorite song ever. My very first favorite song was "Seasons in the sun"....Wow..1974? The year I started Kindergarten.... Wow..time flies...lol... ||wink||

Well, now that I think about it...Maybe "Don't worry baby" by the Beach Boys may have been my first favorite...but...

We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
And yet I fight
And yet I fight
This battle all alone
No one to cry to
No place to call home

My gift of self is raped
My privacy is raked
And yet I find
And yet I find
Repeating in my head
If I can't be my own
I'd feel better dead
If they respected America they would have broken the law and came here illegally.

This is one of my favorite guitar songs of all time. It's "Boston rain melody" by Steve Vai... The person performing it in the video I happen to know is Andy James....even though he isn't credited with it. He plays it flawlessly and I have seen this a hundred times because I am trying to learn it. It's not easy. I can play different parts of it. This video has been a big help. If you wanna see something cool... ||smiley||

hard to believe it's been twenty years since hedges drove his beemer off that cliff in northern california.

no live performance of this piece was ever the same, and his sense of humor always got away from him at some point.

Barenboim at the Proms, Beethoven's 1 & 2.  Fascinating to watch the orchestra players lose themselves in the music, not caring what they look on TV.

Left, right, center left, center right. D or R. f**k your tribal mentality. I don't give a f**k. It's all bulls**t and I will sit here and throw you all middle fingers in the air.

Once upon a time I posed a question to my nephew. I said that since evolution is an ongoing process with no end and with the understanding that animals do communicate with each other...which species do you think is now on the cusp of gaining self awareness? Think about it. As we destroy ourselves, nature will find a way to survive. The end of humanity is not necessarily the end of the world. What do you think the Tigers are telling each other about us? Are we gods to them? What if someday they develop the ability to communicate verbally? What if they learn to read and write? What are they going to tell their children about us?

Seems lately that maybe my question was misapplied. Perhaps I should have been asking that question about AI.

What will computers think of us once they become self aware?

I held the iPad for Dada to hear and I had to look at the screen again.   I thought I was hearing Celine Dionne.   But it wasn't, it was this great young talent.

Have just started to play Silent Hill 4 again (I started to some years back but then my PlayStation 2 stopped working so couldn't finish). This song is now kind of stuck in my head after I played the subway level stage at the start of the game:
