I'd say more regarding that. But I'm not sure you're necessarily speaking to me Mr Blackwell. I'm kind of getting the impression right now not (though maybe I'm wrong there). Are you speaking to me?

Cool Mr. B.... I like when people comment on what/why they like the music they do.

I love dark synth music when it's done right. I'm picky about vocals...real picky. I love these guys. I play guitar, but since the mid 90's have been more interested with programming synthesizers and software studios. I wish I had the talent these guys have.

This is 2  gentlemen who write and produce their own music and it's so good. Well, to me anyway. Lyrics, vocals, songwriting, and synth work are top notch.

Oh how we carry with us, traumas of the past
Faithful to moulds in which we’re cast.
Hand me down dysfunction, recidivist desire watch me
Throw another lover on the fire.
There’s a great white elephant, hidden in the room
Maybe you didn’t see him in the gloom.
You say that I am empty, emotionally devoid
Blame it on whatever, happened to the boy.

And maybe it’s better we don’t talk about it all
Maybe it’s better we don’t talk at all but

Don’t you want to be by my side?
I only want to be by your side.
Don’t you want to be by my side?
I only want to be by your side.

The boy in the photograph made me want to cry
When I saw the emotion in his eyes.
Is it any wonder I’m struggling to cope?
Is it any wonder we’re giving up hope?

And maybe it’s better we don’t talk about it all
Maybe it’s better we don’t talk at all but

Don’t you want to be by my side?
I only want to be by your side.
Don’t you want to be by my side?
I only want to be by your side.

Don’t you want to be by my side?
I only want to be by your side.
Don’t you want to be by my side?
I only want to be by your side.

lookit the solid gold flute

most concert flutists are content with silver instruments, but not this guy. gold has a softer tone than the hard notes achieved by a flute made of silver. some people use platinum, but the tone is harder still.

my flute is silver, and i have definitely not achieved it's limits.

this man's instrument costs something around US$30,000

beethoven was already deaf when he composed this. he never heard it performed. look at the size of the choir for the last part.

this is the whole thing, not just the popular part

Haha, another song called Monster! Was listening to Lady Gaga's song of that title just the other day.

Still, guess monster isn't an uncommonly used word so I shouldn't really be surprised!

This is awesome (IMHO) electronic music. The guy who did this also does sound design for the Mass Effect and Dragon Age video games. He writes, sings, and programs this all by himself with software and he's one of the best  I think. Not going to be everybody's cup of tea of course. If you have a nice system with subs, the bass is killer on this track.  ||smiley||

It makes me think of Skinny Puppy. The first time I heard this song I was ballz deep in LCD.

Good ear! Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly are pioneers of the electro/industrial genre. They are from Vancouver BC and so is the guy from Comaduster... so I imagine they are big influences. I know they ask him to do remixes and vise versa... You know how electronic music is, if a song is cool it will have all kinds of people remixing it. ||smiley||

Obama was my commander in chief during my tour. I'm sure it was no different under him than it was for those suffering under Bush.

The fear is, Trump will somehow be worse.

I can't even imagine how that could be possible but I am not enthusiastic to find out.

I'm out now but I don't think I'm far enough away to be safe.

Can I suggest you:
Get f**ked
While you lie about child-molesting gropes
And parkbench flashers and pervert creeps
And anal virginity and polaroid snaps
And verbal abuse and bathroom rapes
I don't know how well you can:
Remember your own pointless glue-sniffing adolescence
That fumbling floppy sex
In between fags
Those pathetic fistfights
All those pathetic petty thefts
And this and that and this and that and this and that
And every other f**king Adidas-clichéd cringe

Can I suggest you:
Pose
While you take another frantic glance at your shopwindow reflection
Ensuring the stinking lie is maintained
Because that's the difference between you
Yes, that's the difference between you
Yes, that's the difference between you
You'll let a leering scumbag beerdrinking rat
Raise your nostrils for a close-up smell
Of fingertip nicotine and animal fat
And force an open dead mouth
Lap up ounces of semichem sweat
So can you feel that:
Would be a truly truly disgusting thing?

And that's the difference between me
I'll open the package
I'll watch the show
I'll enjoy perfectly well-made art
I'll get in line behind stupidity
I'll let you lie through your teeth
I'll make you feel special
I'll not pick out the mistakes in public
I'll just put it down to passion
And feigned memory lapse

What did you want to be when you grow up?
Certainly not raped
That's the difference between you
A drunk? A drug addict
A motherly protector of the young?
Another bed-staining c**t?
A child molestor that needs to be told?
Or just a craven lust-driven artist
Channelling confusion and fear
Into a sickly limp repetitive craft
Yes, that's the difference between you
You'll act late and surprised
You say you loved sex?
You'll love being hated for the act
The filthier the abuse and the desperate underage details
The fatter the payback
So rather than just listen
Be altered by what's been said

That's the difference between me
I'll show you emotional truth
I'll show you the f**king source
I'll show you yet another f**king liar
And this is for the you
I'll show you that something that makes you:
Feel different
Feel special
I'll give you:
Thoughts
Images
Sounds
I'll give the you something
Even more interesting than the last one
And I'll tell you why it's the best one yet
And then you can look back on it all
And say:
This is the best thing that ever happened to me
And see:
Why you never became a dancer

While that wasn't entirely unpleasant, it wasn't exactly ear candy either. But damn...it was interesting.

You ever heard of a couple of guys calling themselves Death Grips?

[Hook]
It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes
It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes
Guillotine - yah!

[Verse 1]
Sit in the dark and ponder how
I'm fit to make the bottom fall through the floor
And they all fall down - yah!
(It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes, it goes, it goes - yah!)
Out of the shadows barrage of witch tongue
Cobra spit over apocalyptic cult killer cauldron smoke
Stomp music seriously - yah!
(It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes, it goes, it goes)
Can't stop the groove licks jaws clear off them locks relentless raw movement
Fit to knock you from here to that g-spot body rock connected
To everything you want, ever did want, we got it why not come get it
Stick your head in that hole and watch me drop this cold guillotine death sentence - yah! Yah!

[Hook]
It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes
It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes
Guillotine - yah!

[Verse 2]
Hidden art, between and beneath, every fragmented, figure of speech
Tongue in reverse, whenever the beat
Causes my jaws to call out, out, out, out - yah!
The screens flashing red, can't see s**t but heads
Spinning exorcist like planets out of orbit off the edge
Off mine axis whipping through doors to far more than all that’s ever been said - yah!
Tie the chord, kick the chair and you're dead - yah!

[Hook]
It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes
It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes
Guillotine - yah!
Guillotine - yah!

[Verse 3]
Head of a trick in a bucket, body of a trick in a bag
And thrown in the fire like f**k it, gotta burn it before it goes bad
One too many times been disgusted by the stench of rot is such a drag - yah!
Get broke by the street like blood stained glass - yah!
Choke on these nuts till the very last - yah!
(It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes)
Serial number, killing machine, the illest of means
To an end built on the filthy sound you're experiencing - yah! Yah!

[Hook]
It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes
It goes, it goes, it goes, it goes
Guillotine - yah!
Guillotine - yah!

[Verse 4]
Tinted windows, bulletproof
The slip knot fixing rope to noose
To the grave stone grinder of cold steel
The passion that blinds me so I feel - yah!
Can't let go, no it flows through our veins
Blows through our tunnels and rattles our chains
And they all fall down - yah!
